David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Acclaimed children's author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was made after an inquiry regarding allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at female individuals.
The firm declined to specify the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
He has published over four dozen titles in total, including a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
